Following his operatic debut at Paris’ Théâtre du Châtelet, he went on to conduct numerous productions at the Opéra Comique, the Théâtre de Paris, the Opéra de Nancy, the Opéra de Lille, and the Opéra de Marseille, featuring soloists such as Natalie Dessay, Felicity Lott, Sophie Koch, Gabriel Bacquier, José Van Dam, Alain Fondary and Mario Luperi. Active with many symphony orchestras as a guest conductor, Olivier Holt has conducted the Orchestre National de Lille, the Orchestre de Picardie, the Philharmonie de Lorraine, the Orchestre Symphonique de Mulhouse, the Orchestre Symphonique Région Centre and the Sofia Radio Orchestra. Recordings conducted by Olivier Holt include a compilation of classical works for the Philips-Classics label with the participation of Françoise Pollet, Natalie Dessay, Olivier Charlier and Nicolas Rivencq; Théodore Gouvy’s Cantate Egill and Stabat Mater with the Philharmonie de Lorraine for the K617 label; and the world premiere of the opera “Maximilien Kolbe” composed by Dominique Probst and written by Eugène Ionesco. The recording of this opera won the “Orphée d’Or” award from the French Académie Nationale du Disque Lyrique. Olivier Holt is a faculty member in charge of the symphony orchestras of the National School of Music and Dance in Montreuil and is a resident guest conductor at the Conservatoire de Levallois. Olivier Holt is the composer of several chamber pieces, melodies and works for the theater. In 2002, Olivier Holt made his conducting debut in the USA with the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra, in Italy with the Teatro Massimo Orchestra, and in Australia with the world premiere of the opera “Motherland”, performed in the Melbourne Festival. In 2003, he led the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra in a performance of Symphonie Fantastique during the Bergen International Festival. He also conducted the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra during the Tivoli Festival in 2006. Recently, Olivier Holt was invited
to conduct the Opéra de Toulon (symphonic and operatic works),
the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, the Orchestre Symphonique
de Mulhouse and the Orchestre National de Lille. He was also active in
opera, conducting Carmen and Cosi fan tutte and at Paris’ Opéra
