Alexander Ghindin was born in 1977 in Moscow. At the age of 13, he becomes laureate
of the Moscow Young Pianists Competition; then he is the youngest prize-winner
of the 10th International Tchaikovsky Competition, few years later the
2nd prize of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, and more recently, with
great success he is the First Prize of the Cleveland International Piano
Competition. Alexander Ghindin plays with major
orchestras such as The Philharmonia, Orchestre National de Belgique, the
Philharmonisches Orchester der Stadt Freiburg, Münchner Philhamoniker,
the Orchestre Philharmonique de Liège, de Luxembourg, de Monte-Carlo,
de Bordeaux, Tours, Sevilla, the Rotterdam Philharmonisch Orkest, New
Japan Philharmonic, European Youth Union Orchestra, Berliner Sinfonie
Orchester, the Saint Peterburg Academic Philharmonia, Katowice Symphony
Orchestra, etc. Alexander Ghindin is the guest
of many Halls and Festivals as Warsaw Filharmonie, Kennedy Center (Washington),
Théâtre du Châtelet, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées,
Salle Gaveau, Klavier Festival Ruhr, La Roque d’Anthéron,
Radio France and Montpellier, Festival Chopin in Paris, Echeternach, Sintra,
Great hall of the Conservatoire in Moscow, Prague Autumn at the Rudolfinum,
Dubrovnik Festival, etc. Some of his projects: Alexander Ghindin is also very
present in Russia, were he has received the distinction of “honoured
artist”, high title for a young artist as he is.
