St Petersburg Symphony Orchestra at Cadogan Hall : Rachmaninov 3rd piano concerto

Igor Tchetuev was born in Sebastopol (Ukraine) in 1980 and won at the age of 14 the Grand Prix of the International Vladimir Krainev Young Pianists Competition (Ukraine); he currently works with Maestro Krainev.
In 1998, at age 18, he was the First Prize Laureate of the Ninth Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition, and was also voted "Audience Favourite".

In 2007/09 Igor Tchetuev is accompanying the illustrious Bass Ferruccio Furlanetto at the Scala di Milano in a program they will record in Vienna. He is the guest of the WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln (M°Bychkov) for three concerts, of the Festival de Colmar for a recital with cellist Xavier Phillips. He is invited by the Orchestre de Picardie in Beethoven concerto n°5, by the Orchestre Symphonique d'Orléans in Rachmaninov concerto n°3, and gives an evening recital in France at the Festival de la Roque d’Anthéron, at the Festival les Solistes aux Serres d’Auteuil, Les Concerts de Poche, in Paris at the Petit Palais, in Luxembourg and others in Great-Britain.
He is the soloist of the Orchestre National de Montpellier, and performs a concert and a recital in Saint-Etienne as part of the Festival Piano Passion.
He plays in Israel with the Israel Camerata for four concerts.

2006/07, Igor Tchetuev performs Rachmaninov 3rd concerto at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées in January 2007 with Orchestre Lamoureux under M° Yutaka Sado.
After a recital at the Kammermusiksaal der Philharmonie Berlin, Tchetuev performs a third recital at Wigmore Hall, and is the guest of the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra and of the St. Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra (M° Dimitriev) for a great tour in Great-Britain including a concert at Cadogan Hall, London. Furthermore, he performs a “Russian recital” at the Festival de Laon, France and other recitals in France : Festival Chopin Paris, Festival International des Jeunes Etoiles, Festival de Pontlevoy, Festival de Croix, …

2005/06, Igor Tchetuev was the guest of M° Valery Gergiev and the Mariinsky Orchestra (Prokofiev 1). He performed with Halle Orchestra (M° Elder) with the St Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra, Polish National Orchestra, the Moscow Virtuosi, in Japan and in Switzerland; After a highly praised recital at Radio Bremen, he was in recital at the Festival de Radio France et Montpellier, in Lille, and was the guest of the Orchestre de Tours directed by M°Ossonce (Chopin 1).

Each year Tchetuev gives a number of appearances in select events for instance the Colmar International Festival of France, the Menuhin Festival Gstaad, the Klavierfestival Ruhr, the Braunschweig Festival of Germany, Sintra Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Festival, Zino Francescatti Festival, Divonne, Hardelot, Paris (Louvre Auritorium), Festival Chopin Paris, Accademia Philharmonica Romana, Festival de Radio France et Montpellier not to mention the festival of La Roque d’Anthéron, where he appeared during the last two seasons, and was re-invited after an acclaimed recital.

Igor Tchetuev has also performed as piano soloist with the Mariinsky Orchestra, Moscow Virtuosi, St Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra, Halle Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Polish National Orchestra, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, Bern Philharmonic, NDR Hanover, Santa Cecilia Orchestra, Orchestre de Bretagne, Dortmund Orchester, New Japan Philharmonic, Miami New World Symphony, Orchestre National de Lille, Orchestre de Tours etc. under such conductors as Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Spivakov, Marc Elder, Frubeck de Burgos, Alexander Dmitriev, M. Shostakovtich, Svetlanov, Casadesus, Sirenko, Ossonce and so on.

Igor Tchetuev makes then regular recital tours in Europe and his recordings have received numerous awards and accolades: he recorded with the violinist Andrei Bielov all Prokofiev Sonatas for violin and piano for Naxos label. He also recorded a recital of “Romantic Etudes” with Schumann, Chopin, Liszt, Scriabin, with Tri-M Classic of Japan, and the Three Chopin Sonatas for Orfeo in Germany which was applauded by critics (Le Monde de la Musique, Classica...), “Alfred Schnittke: The Complete Piano Sonatas” for Caro Mitis (Russia) (Preis der Deutschen Schallplatten Kritik in Germany, R10 in Classica-Repertoire in France), and his last one is “Beethoven: Complete piano Sonatas vol.2”.
