Olivier LALLOUETTE

 

Olivier Lallouette was born in Paris.
His wide operatic repertoire embraces a great deal of baroque music and he performed with many of the leading conductors in this field including René Jacobs, William Christie, Christophe Rousset and Phillipe Herreweghe.

He also sings many of the leading baritone Mozartian roles and made his debut as Guglielmo/Cosi fan tutte for Glyndebourne Touring Opera under Louis Langree. He portrays the Count Almaviva/Nozze di Figaro for Flanders Opera and Opera de Wallonie , Don Giovanni (leading part) for the Opera de Rennes, Simone/La Finta Semplice in concert version in Cologne, at the Théatre Royal of Versailles and Innsbruck Festival, Papageno in Avignon.

He did his debut at the Grand Theatre in Geneva singing Sharpless in Madame Butterfly, Armin Jordan conducting, and was noted for his portraying Giove in La Calisto by Cavalli and Albert in Werther at La Monnaie in Bruxelels, as well as Passagallo (L’Opera Seria by Gassmann) at the Staatsoper Berlin and the Innsbruck Festival.
Other repertoire includes Junius/Rape of Lucretia, Dandini/Cenerentola Opera de Nantes, Rimbaud/Le Comte Ory Opera de Metz.

For the opening of the season 2000-2001 of Hamburg Opera he sang the role of Tusenbach in Peter Eötvös’ creation of Tri Sestri, a role he will perform again for the Opera de Lyon, in Edinburgh and in Vienna.

Olivier Lallouette performs regularly in concert throughout France and Europe with the major orchestras. Recently he sang in Paris with the French Ensemble Intercontemporain under Pierre Boulez (Cantate by Webern) and Kent Nagano (What next? by Elliott Carter).
Among highlights of the last months Lescaut/Manon in Nancy, Don Giovanni in Avignon, Giove/La Callisto in Berlin, Guglielmo in Liège, Schaunard/La Bohème in Geneva, Merlin l'Enchanteur/Le Roi Arthus in La Monnaie.

His recordings include Giulio Cesare, Scipione and Riccardo Primo by Händel, Il Ritorno d'Ulysse in Patria by Monteverdi, Alceste by Lulli, Carmen by Bizet, L'enfance du Christ by Berlioz, Les Fêtes de Paphos by Mondonville, Le Pays by Ropartz.

Next season, he will perform in Lausanne (La Grotta di Trofonio by Salieri), in Birmingham with the CBSO and in Dortmund with the RSO (La Resurrezione by Haendel, etc….
