Armando NOGUERA

 

Born in Argentina in 1977,he studied at the Colon Theater Institute of Art of Buenos Aires with Ana Sirulnik, Guillermo Opitz, Antonio Russo and Ernesto Mastronardi.
In 2002 he enters in the “Centre de Formation lyrique” of the National Opera of Paris.
He has been a member of the “Camerata Monteverdi” and “Camerata Vocale” since 1997.
He also studied with Ingebor Wamser (Vienna), Christopher Underwood (Scotland), Francois le Roux (France), Jannine Reiss (France), André dos Santos (Brazil), Jose Van Dam (Belgium), Teresa Berganza (Spain), Dalton Baldwin Lorraine Nubar, Martin Katz …

The Ministery of Culture of Vienna awarded him with a scholarship to study in Vienna and Salzbourg and took part of many prestigious Competitions and was awarded with the prize of Zarzuela in the final of the “Francisco Vinias” in Barcelona, Spain, and the first prize at the “International Vocal Competition” in Trujillo, Peru. In 2002 he received the First Prize at the “Internatinal Vocal Competition of Paris. In 2004 he won the First Prize at The International Opera Competition of Clermont-Ferrand France.
In 2004 he won the 3° Prize in The International Vocal Competition of Toulouse.
He was awarded with the CARPEAUX Prize of the National Opera of Paris in 2003
.
He made his debut at the Colon Theater in 1999, singing the role of Figaro in Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” and the role of Falke in “Die Fledermaus” of J.Strauss, Aeneas of “Dido and Aeneas’ Purcell and “Vespro alla Beata Vergine” Monteverdi.
He also sang at the Avenida Theater of Buenos Aires, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Simeon (L’enfant Prodigue), Le Mari (Les Mammelles de Tiresias), Dancairo (Carmen), Guglielmo (Cosi fan Tutte) and Sivio (I Pagliacci) and Eisnestein(Fledermaus). For the Buenos Aires Lyrica Company, he sang Taddeo (L´italiana in Argel). In the Teatro Municipal de Santiago de Chile he sang Valentin from Gounod's Faust with an international cast.

At the National Opera of Paris he sung at the production of Euguine Ognegin of Tchaikovsky and La Boheme of Puccini. Brahms’s Liebeslieder in Palais Garnier, aris and Gianni Schichi´s Production in Palais Garnier, Paris, Conductor Seiji Ozawa.

He sings Bedford in 'Charles VI' (Halevy) in Theatre Imperial de Compiegne, "Il Barbiere di siviglia" (Figaro) in Opera National de Montpellier and Festival d'Eté de Strasbourg, Ben in "The Telephone" (Menotti) and Gil in "Il Segreto di Susanna" (Wolf-Ferrari) in Opera de Clermont-Ferrand and Papageno in Théâtre-Opera d’Avignon France. At The Hannover Opera Festival he also sung the Opera Tango of Romano/Zulueta the role of Lucho and the Marquese of "La Traviata" in the Opera of la Reunion in 2004.
He also took part in the Ravinnia Festival 2003 in Chicago, USA.
He takes part in the Young Vocal Program at the Festival de Aix-en-Provence during the summer 2004.
2005/2006 he is appearing as Barbiere di Seviglia, Papageno, Fiorello,Splendiano
(“Djamileh” by Bizet) The Telephone by Menotti and « il Segreto di Susanna » de Wolf-Ferrari, Charles VI by Halevy "Die Zauberfloete" …

2006/08 he sings in many French theatres: Octave in “Henri Sauguet’s “Les Caprices de Marianne”; in a creation of John Casken, “Golem”; At the Capitole in Toulouse in the Zarzuela “Dona Francisquita” and later as Belcore ("Elisir d'Amore”) in Avignon, and in Ravel’s “L’Heure Espagnole” with and in a staging of Julia Migenes.

2007/08 he will sing another creation from the Japanese composer Susumi Yoshida ‘s “Rivière Sumida”…

He also gives recitals with the pianist André dos Santos , doing also chamber music and concerts with orchestra - “L’Enfance du Christ” by Berlioz in Canarias and in Sevilla 2008, the “Matthew ‘s Passion” in Paris etc…
