Qiu Lin ZHANG

 

Holder of a diploma from the College of Music of Xian, China, in 1984, Qiu Lin Zhang has been soloist from the Symphony Orchestra of Xian, until 1995. In 1995 she wins the Top Prize of Marmande and Region Aquitaine International Competition. She is also laureate of the Union Professionnelle des Maîtres de Chant Français International Competition in Paris. In 1996 she gained a first prize for singing, having studied at the National Conservatoire with Andréa Guiot.

She appears regularly with prestigious French Orchestras such as the Toulouse Capitole Symphony Orchestra and Toulouse National Chamber Orchestra the Lille National Orchestra , Orchestre Rhin-Mulhouse, Orchestre de Besançon , Philharmonie de Lorraine.

She performed operas in France such as Rigoletto (Maddalena), La Clemenza di Tito (Sextus) and Madama Butterfly/Suzuki,Erda/Rheingold, Dialogues des Carmélites (Poulenc), Catherine/Jeanne au Bûcher.

Last seasons, she sang Erda/Siegfried, First Norne/Götterdämmerung, Néris/Médea at the Capitole in Toulouse, Rossweisse/Walkyrie in Amsterdam, Erda in the new Ring by Bob Wilson in Paris , at the Proms in London and in Madrid at Escurial and she sang “Das Lied von der Erde” with the Orchestre de Paris.

In 2006/2007 she sang Die Frau one Schatten (Stimme von Oben) at Capitole/Toulouse, and Third Dame/Die Zauberflöte ,and a the Teatro Nacional Sao Carlos in Lisbonn in “Die Walkyrie”.
In concerts she sang Alto Rhapsodie/Brahms with Orchestre National de Lille and “Wesendonck Lieder”/ Orchestre Lamoureux in Paris.

In 2007/2008 she sang Suzuki/Madama Butterfly in Marseille and in The Tales of Hoffmann at the Théâtre du Capitole of Toulouse and in a recital with piano at the Nuits Musicales du Golfe du Morbihan.

This season she will return at the Theatre du Capitole of Toulouse in Oedipe by Enesco, at the Dublin Opera in Suzuki/Madama Butterfly, then the Mother in The Tales of Hoffmann in Avignon Opera.

In season 2009/2010 she will sing Erda/Rheingold at the Bastille Opera in Paris.
