Inna DUKACH |
Soprano Inna Dukach made her New York City Opera debut this fall singing Mimi in La Bohème. Other engagements during the 2006-07 season include a debut with San Diego Opera as Xenia in Boris Godunov, La Bohème with Lake George Opera, Wall to Wall Opera with New York City Opera at Symphony space (broadcast on WQXR), Songs of Yiddish Poetry with the Brooklyn Philharmonic and an all Chopin recital with Oxana Yablonskaya and The Chopin Society of New York at Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall. Upcoming in the 2007-2008 season, Ms. Dukach will return to New York City Opera to sing Mimi in La Bohème and will make her Orlando Opera debut as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni.
Engagements during the 2005-06
season included Mimi in La Bohème with Sarasota Opera, Dicapo Opera
Theatre and National Lyric Opera, and Caroline Gaines in Margaret Garner
with Opera Carolina, RachmaninovÕs The Bells with Dicapo Opera
Theatre, and Valencienne in The Merry Widow with Opera Memphis.
During the 2003-04 season, Ms. Dukach made her Alice Tully Hall debut
with the American Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Leon Botstein
as Aljeja in Janacek's From the House of the Dead, and her Carnegie Hall
debut in a program of Rutter's Magnificat and Vaughan Williams's Dona
Nobis Pacem. Additional engagements during the 2003-04 season included
Marguérite in Faust with Dicapo Opera Theatre; Liu in Turandot
with Natchez Opera; Dorotea in Conte's Don Chisciotte with the Caramoor
Festival; and a return to Opera North as Helena in A Midsummer Night's
Dream.
Other recent engagements have included Janacek's The Diary of One Who Vanished with the Bard Music Festival; the Bride in Martinu's Hlas Lesa with Gotham Chamber Opera (televised on Classic Arts Showcase); Echo in Ariadne auf Naxos with Lake George Opera; Pamina in Die Zauberflöte; Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi; Micaëla in Carmen; and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni.
Concert highlights have included the Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro, the Fauré Requiem, and Rachmaninov's Vocalise with the One World Symphony; The Verdi Requiem with the Brooklyn Philharmonic; The Brahms Requiem with the Greenwich Choral Society; The Mozart Requiem with the Saratoga Choral Festival; Beethoven's Ninth Symphony with the Smith College Orchestra at Carnegie Hall; Barber's Knoxville: Summer Of 1915 with Bay Shore Lyric Opera; a featured appearance as guest artist with the Chopin Music Festival at the Polish Embassy in New York City; and Songs on Pushkin's Poetry with the Trinity Noontime Concert Series in New York City.
Inna Dukach was a winner of the
2005 Liederkranz Competition, a winner of the 2004 Dutka Arts Foundation
Competition, and a New England regional finalist of the 2003 Metropolitan
Opera National Council Auditions. Ms. Dukach was a member of the Opera
North Young Artist Program in 2002, and an apprentice artist with Lake
George Opera in 2001. She received her Master's Degree in Vocal Performance
from Mannes College of Music, and her Bachelor's Degree from Smith College.
