Born in Erfurt, CHRISTOPH GENZ is Membre of the famous Thomas Chor of Leipzig and King’s College Choir of Cambridge.

He studies with Hans Joachim Bayer and Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, and receives many prices in Grimsby (United Kingdom) and Leipzig in 1995 and 1996.

CHRISTOPH GENZ sings with Ton Koompan, Herbert Blomstedt, Ivor Bolton, Franz Bruggen, Sir Simon Rattle, Phlippe Hereweghe, Sigiswald Kuijken, Helmut Rilling, Jean Claude Malgoire, Jesus Lopez Cobos, Michael Jurowski, Guisepppe Sinopoli, Marek Janowski, Thomas Hengelbrock…

CHRISTOPH GENZ takes part in many recordings, in particular Bach, Mendelssohn, Dvorak, Massenet, Strauss and Lieder of Schubert, Haydn etc…

In concerts and in recitals, he appears in festivals such as Hohenhems/Feldkirch, Aix en Provence, Verbier, Davos, Schleswig-Holstein, Luzerner Musikfestwochen, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Le Louvre in Paris, Wigmore Hall London, Concertgebow Amsterdam etc…

After having been member of the Basle Opera, CHRISTOPH EGNZ sings in Nancy (Ferrando) at the Theatre des Champs Elysées and in Aix en Provence (Tamino), at the Scala with Sinopoli (Ariadne auf Naxos).

In 2001 he debutes at the Opéra of Hamburg in Cosi fan tutte and is currently permanent member of this theatre.
