Born in 1975 the French tenor Jean-François Borras is currently starting a beautiful career on some of the most prestigious opera scenes in Europe.

His further projects 2012/2013 are Boheme in Trieste, Foresto (Attila) in Roma with Muti, Duca/Rigoletto in Tel Aviv, Pang at the Choregies d ‘Orange, Raimbaut in Robert le Diable at Covent Garden, Alfredo in Monte Carlo, Cinna( Cherubini, La Vestale) at the Theatre des Champs Elysees, Paris.

He also appears in Monte Carlo ( Merry Widow); in Graz Edgardo(Lucia di Lamermoor) and Arturo ( Lucia) at La Monnaie, Brussels; Romeo in “Romeo et Juliette “at the Teatro Verdi Trieste; Alfredo in Mannheim, Des Grieux in Roma, cond Alain Guingual

He recently sang with great success Des Grieux /Manon at the Palau de les Arts Valencia, cond . P.Fournillier and in Paris, Opera Bastille, cond. E. Pido .

Jean-François Borras started as a “Petit Chanteur de Monaco”. In 1988 he belongs to the Académie de Musique de Monaco working with Marie-Anne Losco.
Between 2001 and 2004, he sings in the frame of Music Academy Monaco, in a staging of Gabriel Bacquier, roles like Alfredo (La Traviata), Nemorino (L´Elisir d´Amore), Roméo (Roméo et Juliette), Werther, Wilhelm (Mignon),Faust, Frick (La Vie Parisienne).
In June 2004, he is graduated with unanimity and pursues his work with Michèle Command and Gabriel Bacquier.

From now on he sings first in many French theatres- Marseille, Toulon, Bordeaux, Rouen, Saint-Etienne, Rouen, Avignon, Nice etc …
