THE TRIO MESSIAEN AT THE AUDITORIUM DU LOUVRE

Photographie CIMCL 2018

Famous for his comic operas inspired by Goldoni or Molière, Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari has also distinguished himself in the field of chamber music, thanks to a constantly renewed melodic invention. Rewarded in 2018 during the Lyon International Chamber Music Competition, the musicians of the Trio Messiaen invite us to discover a page of youth with irresistible charm. Besides the famous Intermezzo of the opera Cavalleria rusticana by Mascagni, they complete their program with another work of youth, composed by Debussy at the time when he discovered the splendors of Italy during his service with Nadejda von Meck, a wealthy Russian aristocrat who was then Tchaikovsky’s patron and secret correspondent.
