As part of the program conducted by the Philharmonie de Paris and dedicated to French composer, The Orchestre Pasdeloup conducted by Mykola Diadiura will propose, on January 27, to shed light on Debussy’s links with Russia. It is in Russia that Debussy, at barely twenty, discovered Tchaïkovski’s music, even before the concerts that will allow Moussorgski to become famous in Paris. In resonance with this inspiration, the Orchestra invites Igor Tchetuev to play Tchaikovsky’s Concerto No. 1 for Piano and Orchestra around the dreams of composers and their desires for new music. A program combining Russian and French sounds, including Tchaikovsky’s “Ouverture-fantaisie” from Romeo and Juliet and the famous Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune of Debussy.
